Founded in 2013 in Cape Town, after 12 years of churning Sorbetiere became THIRTEEN on the 13th March 2025. Same artisan ice cream and dedicated team with a vibrant, lucky and easy-to-pronounce name! 13 is bringing a new beginning, creativity and joy to each of our scoop!
From fond childhood memories of homemade strawberry sorbet and 10 years in the kitchens of various restaurants in France, chef Beran gets inspiration from our beautiful Cape Town and local products to create artisan ice cream & sorbet.
In addition to our core range of premium sorbets and ice creams, we also specialize in creating bespoke flavours tailored specifically for the food industry. Whether you’re a restaurant, café, or food brand looking for a unique dessert experience, we collaborate closely with you to develop custom flavours.
